2005-2007 HSUS Fur Investigation Results Posted Below:
Domestic Dog and Raccoon Dog

An ongoing investigation by The Humane Society of the United States has found raccoon dog fur being sold by some of the largest names in fashion, but either falsely labeled or advertised as another species— or even as faux—or not labeled at all. The investigation also uncovered three retailers selling brand name jackets advertised as “faux” that were actually trimmed with fur from domestic dogs, which has been banned since 2000 by the Dog and Cat Protection Act. Two of the jackets had no fur labeling, and one called the dog fur “Nylon Coyote” (Tommy Hilfiger)
